Guttigoli, Amit B., MD, FACC

Dr. Guttigoli started his practice in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology in Dallas in August 2004. He finished his medical school in India where he graduated top of his class and was awarded Most Outgoing student. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency from Coney Island Hospital in 2004 and served as Chief Resident in his final year, and received the Virginia Nash award for outstanding resident. After residency, he did his Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship from New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical Center. In the final year, he received the NASPE Advanced Training Fellowship Award.

​Dr. Guttigoli has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals. His main area of interests are heart rhythm abnormalities including atrial fibrillation, heart failure and sudden cardiac death. Dr. Guttigoli has trained physicians from around the country in subcutaneous defibrillator implantation and has travelled to Japan to proctor implanting physicians. Dr. Guttigoli has been named a Best Doctor by D Magazine several times.

​Dr. Guttigoli lives in Dallas with his wife and two daughters. He loves to travel and learn about other cultures and traditions. His other interests include ethnic and local foods, Dallas Cowboys and the Mavericks.
